Yes for Libraries respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide through yes4libraries.org.

Information we collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you sign up to receive updates from Yes for Libraries:

Your first and last name
Your email address
Your phone number
Your county
How you would like to help, if you tell us
An address for a yard sign, if you ask for one and choose to give it
Anything you choose to write in the comment box

The comment box is optional. We will not publish what you write there without asking you first.

We use a yard sign address only to bring you a sign. It is optional, and you can ask for a sign without giving one.

Every field on the signup form is optional.

We also record that you gave permission to be contacted, and the date and time you gave it. If you check the box to receive text messages, we record that separately, with the wording you agreed to and the date and time you agreed.

This website does not use cookies or analytics. To limit repeated automated submissions, the signup service keeps a scrambled, non-reversible form of your connection's network address for two days. The raw address is never stored.

How we use your information

We use this information to communicate with you about Yes for Libraries, including campaign news, updates, events, volunteer opportunities, and other information related to our work.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may use trusted service providers to operate our website, manage our email or text message lists, or send communications on our behalf. These providers may access information only as necessary to provide those services.

We may disclose information when required to comply with the law.

Email communications

You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.

Texting policy

By providing your mobile number and checking the box through our contact form, you are consenting to receive polling/voting text messages (e.g., election reminders, opinion polls) and public service announcement text messages (e.g., election updates and voter education) from Yes for Libraries at the number provided, including messages sent by autodialer.

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP". After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at info@yes4libraries.org. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

We do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Protecting your information

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information provided to us from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
